We love ours, when it works.
It has been down for about 6 months. Battery stopped holding a charge.
Picked up a new battery... it worked for about a day.
So we are guessing it is the charger.
If we ever get this one working dependably again we plan to get a Scooba, the Roomba-mop-thingy. Most of our main level floors are tile and hardwood.

I do have to say, that Jesse does the same things aroung here too. He cooks, folds and puts away laundry (I run the washer and dryer  ), does dishes, vaccums, etc.
He does not know how to clean a bathroom tho. All he does is dump Mr. Clean in the toilet bowl and brushes it, doesn't clean the lids, counters or tub.
S'ok tho, I sure as hell ain't complaining!

This thread got me to actually take a look at my disabled Roomba last evening.
Gutted it. Charging circuit is dead. Charger works. Roomba works. Docking station works. But the part of the Roomba that handles the charging is toast.
Looked on a few forums... found that a pair of mosfets on the main board go bad once in a while. Now I just have to decide when/if I feel like replacing them.. it involves soldering and shit.
As I am up to my ass in finishing the house and building a wine cellar door and 100 other things like that, my Roomba will prolly be going into the closet for a year or two.
