Sounds like you have had some rough weather rolling thru your area. Just want to make sure all are okay.

Gee, don't know if the lack of responses is a good or bad thing. Hoping for the good thing and that all are well.

You know people think we are nuts for living in CA with earthquakes but when you see stuff like tornado’s and hurricanes and all the devastation and loss of life they cause, sorry but I will stick with the chance of a earthquakes over devastation like what they are having in Florida any day. Sure hope all our CH’ers out there are ok and they are all in my prayers right now. Matt

Yah but Matt at least with a tornado you can go into a basement, ditch, etc and get out and away from the tornado. Also you usually have warning they are comming. Bad and Severe storms usually produce tornadoes or at least have the potential. With earthquakes you cant get away from them or predict them. I would take a tornado anyday over an earthquake and I have been in some of those as well.

My husband and I just missed the storm by 3 hours. Thursday we drove from Southern Florida back up to South Carolina. Went under it on the Interstate 4. Got hit in Georgia a little, don't know if that was the same storm or not. But it was so hard to see the road with 18 wheelers cruisin' past you. We were happy to make it home after an 11 hour drive. Hope everyone made it.

LOL!! Karla, no basements in Florida Sweety! you dig down a foot or more and your hitting water! Where we lived in Naples(Southwest Florida) the water level was at about 2 ft. below ground level. I had to dig a drain field for the septic system once. it was llike fighting the ocean, trying to get the hole dug and the liner, gravel and drainfield pipe laid and covered up before the hole filled with ground water. Heavey weather is kind of a normal thing in Florida, but the Tornado's that actually hit the ground and do damage are rare indeed. Guess we got out just in time, my Brother and his family still live in Orlando and my daughter and her hubby and son live in Bradenton. They all made it through without even a good scare! Keep praying for those that didn't do so well! Pappy
