You know what, I am going back to bed. I know just as soon as I get to sleep JD will wake up, but I am going to do it any way.
They said it was going to be bad to day. Ice and rain mixed.
I want snow not rain and ice.

Our school is closed again today. It is our 9th or 10th snow/ice day this year. I moved somewhat south for this?

No joke, the coffee shop in my town was the only building in my town to fall down from the ice storm. I'll get a picture of it and post it some other time.
Ill take all that snow over the 1-2" of ice we got.

It just rained, it wasn't cold enough to PRODUCE ICE here south of Atlanta Thank Goodness.
I want snow, it snowed when JD was a year old. He can't remember it. He wants to see snow so bad. I am praying for snow JUST FOR HIM NO ICE JUST SNOW.
I just showed JD the pictures, he yelled Thats what he wants.
SNOW!!

Jeff I love home made soup. I recieved three crock pots for Christmas and have one small one. I have become a crock pot cook. I can cook better in a crock pot than on the stove.
Tonight we are having Green beans, corn, and sliced ham.
I found this great recipe for Crock pot corn.
4 cups frozen corn
1 8 oz cream cheese
1 stick of butter
salt and pepper to taste
Melt the cream cheese and butter in Micowave, Spray crock pot with oil, and add melted cream cheese and butter, then add corn, salt and peper to taste mix and cook on low for two hours.
I cook everything in the crock pots. Green beans, ham you name it I cook it in there. I usually make home made soup on Friday or Saturdays. I use my left overs for the week.
It does sound good.
JD and I did have some hot tomato soup and grill cheese for lunch. That warmed us up just right!

Two inches of ice can weigh as much as up to 24 inches of snow. Hard to believe, but true.

My town looks like a bomb hit it. The local coffee shop is no longer. Tons of trees uprooted and others split at the trunk. Some schools were out for 2 weeks. It was unreal.

We were lucky here. No ice storm so far. Buffalo got that a couple months ago and won't recover for years. Lots of damage.
In my little town (41,000) we live for snow. It's a challenge to all the Lake Wobegon types here.
It's a good time to hunker down though. It's gonna be be very cold for a couple of weeks.
