I watched it and at the start of the movie, this guy is running all around the waitting room screaming and holding his head. I was think OH God they are doing one on clusters. Well Dr House... grabs a needle trips the guy and gives him a shot. The guy just stops screaming and moving. He tells Cutty his boss that he gave him a shot to parlize him. She says he is still in pain!!! House says yes but quiter. I am getting mad at this point calling House all kinds of not so nice names. Still thinking this guy has clusters or a brain tumor. Well it turned out that a roach was in his ear and bitting him. OK everyone have your ears checked !

Yea I like Dr House also Woobie! But The thought of having a cluster or any kind of pain that was that great, someone giving you a shot that Parilized you. You couldn't move, or anything, you couldn't even yell out. OMG just to be traped in my body and couldn't move would be bad enough but to have that kind of pain on top of that.! That would be the worst thing I could think of.

I just watched it (thank you DVR!) and I was thinking OMG too..... then when the roach thing, then this thread, well I gotta go off on a story (which I tend to do every so often hehe) When I was a baby in CT my mom was in an apartment building when she found out it was infested with cockroaches, so she moved us, but in packing she went through every thing as it was packed, and slowly box by box she moved all our stuff into our new apartment, trying to be oh so careful we didn't move the nasty roaches with us. She told me her BIGGEST fear was a roach crawling into my ear .... well after all that worry and carefullness we get settled into the MUCH nicer apt. just to find roaches in this one............. well some how a basket of dirty clothes got moved with us and IT was infested with some stowaway cockroaches!!!!!!! Just ewwwwwyyy ew ew ew! And that's my story and I'm sticking to it

As soon as I saw the guy running and screaming and holding his head, and even before House gave him the shot, I picked up my phone, called my mom and said, "Do you think it's clusters?" I somehow missed the part about him having a roach in his ear or whatever it was - I was distracted by something else I was working on at the time on my computer. But - I had a feeling somebody was going to post about it! I, too, think it would be positively awful to be paralyzed with no pain relief. As a nurse, we are always taught that you don't just give sedation without pain medication for when somebody is in pain. You know those horror stories about people who woke up on the operating table but couldn't even say how badly they hurt because they were still paralyzed? That stuff happens... Scary! Whenever I have to paralyze a baby, I always am giving them pain medication, too. It's not right to paralyze somebody and not give them pain relief! But that's the nature of House...only House would do something like that!! I still love him! One time towards the beginning of when the show first aired, my mom said to me, "You need a doctor like him." Totally true - I need somebody who will solve the problem, even if they damn near kill me in the process. Hugz, Carrie

ok years ago when we lived on military base housing they were condemed ww2 bariks that were infested with cockroaches. I was only 18 and had never heard of a cockroach much less lived with one. They were terrible, anyway. My neighbor just couldn't wait to tell me that the guy down the street got a cockroach in his ear and it couldn't back up and kept banging against his eardrum. It drove him mad and he blew his brains out. I was terrified and slept with ear plugs in from that point on.

Its not only roaches that can get in your ears. Thousand leg worms, silver fish all kinds of little bugs. YUCK. I wonder what House would do with a clusterhead?
