Look at it this way . . . You'd only get to have to do it once for the kitty to get the message . . . .

So why not?

I wish my cats would sleep in the sink, tub, any where but my bed. Three dogs, three cats and Buddy and me makes a king size bed real small !

Geez.  You all are a really bad influence.

Haven't done it yet.  You see, the conditions should be exactly perfect.  First of all, the cat has to get into the sink to nap on her own.  You can't just put her there.  It wouldn't be the same.

Next, a sufficient amount of time must pass--time for the cat to go from a contented state of porcelain-lined relaxation, to a deep, purring, sink-induced slumber.

Finally, you have to sneak up on the cat so she doesn't wake.  Not so easy to do.  If this is accomplished, the water must be immediately cranked to a roar....in order to get the full effect.

Last but not least, it must be done when my daughter is not home.  Any resulting pandemonium would alert her to my misdeed right away, and she'd clobber me for sure.

Patience.....  sgrin

Doing the obvious thing will get you the obvious results, George.  Just make sure to close the lid on the toilet so kitty doesn't flip out of the frying pan into the fire.   Wink

Sometimes I wonder the same thing. But then she turns on her "Cuteness" power and I can't. She's too adorable.

Anyhow, you know if you did decide to turn on the faucet sometime, you'd eventually wake up to a small, cat-like version of Jack Nicholson from "The Shining". I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want an insane little cat after /me/. D:

I've done it and what was oddly hilarious was that the mangey (sp?) hairball didn't even seem to notice!!  It's not that I'm an evil person or anything - but sometimes temptation is just too great!!  And he does like to go in the shower, even after there is water in it!!  Sometimes I pick him up, and he's a little wet, and I know then that he's gone in the sink or shower after I had water in it!!  It's bizarre, but I've actually read up on cats that like water, and some of them do!!

When I turned the faucet on, he just kinda sat there - I really thought he'd run out, but he didn't!!  At first I thought maybe he doesn't feel it yet, but then once I was certain he had to have felt it, I figured that he just didn't mind it...or possibly even liked it!  So weird...  I didn't turn it on hard or anything because then the sound alone would have scared him and he would have jumped out.

Now, should I cave to this temptation and throw him in the washer?  LOL  J/k of course before the PETA folks come after me!!  And oh - this picture is from when he was a kitten...now he's a gigantic 14 pounds!!!  But doesn't he look so adorable in this pic?  I think he's saying, "Ooops....how did I get in here?"  lol
