Could you say a prayer for those lost today in Iraq. There was a fierce battle today in Najaf and a helicopter went down with two souls aboard. I am waiting to hear what kind of helicopter it was. They have recovered the remains and at least that is good.

thanks all... I know you are all with me on this one... you are all as invested in my boys as I am over all these years. Though this is a war I think we are all sick of hearing about, we know that my son is brave, strong and believes in what he does. Every time I talk to him I am recharged. I am in awe of his achievement, his out look and his motivation... and always without hesitation, with great sacrifice and will. Who would have ever known that the kid I gave birth to at 17 could be such a hero. So caring about others, so loving to his wife and family. Thanks for always being so supportive.

Every time I hear someone rhetorically ask "Where do these Heroes come from" I think to myself . . .the answer is; from great parents who value them, and love them, and taught them right from wrong. Ree - you're as much a hero to us as he is.
