Is Oprah a dead horse?

I was talking to a couple people in the chat room last night and the subject of Oprah came up, specifically, starting an email campaign to encourage her to do a CH show. Well then I searched some old threads and see that the issue was debated at great length a couple years ago. At that point in time O.U.C.H. board members opted for another course of action pending the medical society and felt that the Oprah issue wasn't prudent at that point in time. I'm sure allot of the older members here remember this. So... what is the current position on the Oprah issue? Is it a better time to start a email campaign? with warm regards, Tony

Buddy, Friend, Pal........ Just what the heck were doing in a chat room discussing anything that has to do with Oprah??? Kidding. I think it would be beating a dead horse. IMHO.

Tony. There was a time when we constantly e-mailed EVERYONE. There was a campaign started where we picked a different 'target' every week or so.......nothing every happened. We would get a few 'thank you for writing but sorry' answers. As to Oprah....she does a good job but wants to FIX everything and everyone.....then come back and show how she did it. She might think we are to tough a case. We did try her though....more than once. Good thought though....keep it up.... Hugs to you and Oscar... Jackie

That horse has been beaten, revived , beaten again, killed, resurected, and beaten down again. Good thought though.

Ok so if approaching the talk shows circuit is a moot point. How about kicking in to support the documentary that's already in the works.... I see here from another thread that Justin started doing work on one a couple years ago. Surely (if there are no concerted efforts at this time) there must be some way we can help in his efforts to get the ball rolling again on his project. From what I've witnessed here in my brief time as a member of this group, there is a phenomenal wealth of, passion, talent, resourcefulness and determination. What do you all think? with warm regards, Tony

Tony, Although it's great to get support and encouragement on anything, my input is: If YOU want to get the ball rolling and your whole heart and soul is into to it, GO FOR IT! There are leaders and followers. Which one are you? much encouragement, froggy

I think this is a good thing to do.You're being supportive of your husband and that's cool. He's lucky to have you. What's wrong with motivating Justin to work on his documentary? with warm regards, Tony

Don't get whatcha mean. I'm just saying it straight. If you're legit, then what other people say shouldn't matter to you. Just let people see your actions. That's what I meant by "if you're legit, the bullshit doesn't matter" And why are you singling me out, I don't see you jumping down Jonny's throat (although I wouldn't want to see you try). Who the heck is Justin?
