| Yeah, we conservatives long for the good old days when women either stayed out of politics, or at least projected femininity. Like Margaret Thatcher

| No, we conservatives would actually prefer a woman who has a little bit of pride and self-worth, not one who puts up with a philandering husband, pretending that it doesn't exist/looks the other way, in order to further her own political agenda. Or perhaps prefer a woman who didn't promote a health program that almost bankrupted the system in TN. darlin

| Hillary might not be a Senator except for the fact that the Republicans ran a phillanderer against her - Rudy Guiliani. Quote:HERE is one woman who could cause Rudy Giuliani, the former New York mayor, more problems than Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House: she is Donna Hanover, his second wife, writes Sarah Baxter. Hanover, an actress and broadcaster, was enraged by Giuliani’s flagrant infidelity towards the end of their 18-year marriage and the divorce case was vicious. Giuliani’s advisers fear that she could be a loose cannon in the 2008 campaign. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2089-2534621,00.html |
| What other repeat phillanderers are considering a run for the Republican Presidential slot? Good ole Newt - cheated on his first wife, then walked into the hospital when she was being treated for cancer to ask for a divorce. Cheated on his second wife, asked for a divorce when she developed a neurological condition that looked like multiple sclerosis. Now on #3, like Rudy. Strange world when the only Republican candidate who hasn't had multiple wives is a Mormon.

Yeah, what Flo said. How many of them damn neocons got blowjobs in the hallway off the Oval Office while sticking cigars up their fellator's wazoo while they should have been working for us. All while their wife, Hillary, is throwing lamps around the private bedroom screaming, "Dammit Bill, I need to be fucked more than once a year!"

There's infidelity and there's infidelity. He didn't stray once but repeatedly and publicly and as a woman, I don't know how she could even look at him never mind stay with him. It was another first lady - one who was actually a LADY who said "Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice - shame on me."

| So, if your wife went out and had numerous affairs (not one, not two, not even three, but a multitude of *indiscretions*), you'd welcome her back home with loving arms? Flo, I don't care of any of those who are philanderers, BUT, as a woman, I won't vote for another woman who has repeatedly accepted her husband back after he has publically humiliated her with his repeated indiscretions.

| Actually she said " Fool me once, shame on, ......... shame on you. Fool me, cant get fooled again." Jeff and Darlin, my wife and i talked about it and we decided we dont want any extramarital sex. Other couples dont have a problem with this kind of thing. Some couples have extramarital sex all the time and think its no big deal. I guess it depends on the personal choices of the couple as to whether or not its ok. And you know what? Its THEIR business. It doesnt mean they are self hating or have no pride, it means its their business. Who am I to judge another couple?

Well goody, And when you run for the highest office in the land I will consider that. Until then, I don't think this woman and her past will do anything to bring respect and admiration back to our shores. This woman has an agenda and I don't think it's to benefit the United States of America.

Not sure if she was fooled again and again, or if she saw a pattern and re-negotiated the terms of the marriage - maybe they kept separate beds. Some women choose to hold a flawed marriage together for various reasons - including the children, religion, finances, social customs, etc. Is that always wrong? I don't think so. Some choose to maintain an imperfect union out of strength, others out of weakness. I really don't have enough information to judge her as a candidate based on her marriage. I don't see evidence that she did anything wrong - and her motives for not ditching him remain private.

It's really quite simple - if she thinks ditching him will gain her votes, she'll dump him. If it's more popular to hang onto his sorry behind, she'll stick with him. Do people not understand politics? IT'S A FUCKING POPULARITY CONTEST!

| That is true, Bill. My Dad and I were just talking about this over the weekend. A lot of people don't vote for the person they think would do the best job, they vote for the person they think can win. Its really a shame.
