A poem from my Mum

Just wanted to share my mums poem with you. It brought tears to my eyes. A man in a far off country Would visit the beach each day He would pick up the stranded star fish From the sand where, gasping, they lay And throw them back in the ocean To live another day. As I watched, I scorned and mocked him - 'Come on man - give it a break... With all those thousands of starfish What difference can one man make. There'll be lots more there by morning..... Forget it, for goodness sake!' Stooping, he picked up another Tossed it far out to sea. He smiled and shook his wise old head Then turned and said to me.... 'It made a difference to that one - Of that you must agree!' So each little smile or gesture, Though it may not seem all that great Can mean a lot to someone... There's really no reason to wait We can all make a difference to someone Tomorrow it may be too late. Shaz
