Hope this brings some comfort

Survival
Awake all night,
without strength for the fight,
anger overcomes me.
The slightest thing,
will set me off,
just waiting to deny me.
Watch the clock,
sit and rock,
the pain will soon subside.
This time still,
wondering will,
the torture go on and on.
Been years no break,
my life it takes,
its toll and wears at us.
The battle rages,
like tired old pages,
worn but with resolve.
To end it now,
would seem somehow,
as fruitless as going on.
Because a few,
friends old and new,
and family standing by me.
The will remains,
the tears and stains,
the truth shows more evident.
The will of man,
strong to stand,
against the worst it brings.
The pain though feirce,
the eye will peirce,
stops even for a while.
Between these times,
a smile shines,
and brings about a balance.
The battles fought,
and pains they wrought,
shows through the true victor.
The Beast though strong,
can not hang on,
to this worn old fighter.
The time between,
the strength will bring,
the will for true survival.
