Apparently, his joke about 'if you don't get an education, you get stuck in Iraq' gave troops the last laugh.

Evidently Mr. Kerry didn't realize that all of us didn't have our educations paid for us like some presidential wanna be's. He also seems to forget that his education didn't seem to keep him out of the land of rice and jungles. What a shmuck. Dick

The mainstream democrats are praying that John Kerry runs for president in 2008 so that their real and eventual candidate will look practically conservative as a contrast. Kind of like how the Harlem Globetrotters always played a team like the Washington Generals or some generic name that ended up being a patsy team. Bless'm, they do try so hard. scott

You're right in that Democrats aren't dumb enough to run Kerry again; just as the Republicans are too frightened to get behind someone from what used to be the real GOP. Today, it amounts to a successful third party run by thoroughly unpleasant people not interested in Americans; only managing the news. They would do better managing the messes they have created. Don't run Hillary though; I don't see how she could win. Charlie

I think the reps should run Rudi with McCain as VP -- they probably would win. Rudi would be a dictator, but he'd get things cleaned up. He doesn't lose his cool in a pinch.... Now the dems are a different matter. But Kerry is definitely OUT of the running. I think it would be funny to run Hillary with Bill as VP. Who knows -- they might just win..... Right now all the White House can do is worry about wording in whether we have a Civil War or just an uprising.... Who cares -- it's still a damn war and out troops are getting the worst end of it. Hugs BD But I'm ecumentical (and I can't spell that word at all) -- I trash 'em all and I'm not PC.

Rudi would be a trip. Imagine: a New York Republican in the White House. I think you have to go back to Theodore Roosevelt for another. (he was the first of the progressives too. God I miss them!) Southern Republicans wouldn't be thrilled. It's always the elephant in the corner: Abortion. What a waste of effort and it stops so many very qualified people from running as Republicans. It should not be a national issue but it has been the major social issue that Republicans can use to get votes but I hate the Moral Majority types that they have to tow along. Yuck. It was the last straw for me. You're right Bill can run as Veep, even legally. Fun. Charlie

Iraq is not a civil war. We know what a civil war looks like, and this is not one. There are no blue and grey uniforms. There are no armies facing each other with breach loading rifles and calvaries. To say that Iraq is a civil war, or to say that we can't prevail, is silly. Rock on Mr. B! Still waiting for your 'Real Men of Genius' commercial, Mr Reality Denying Man.

| I agree with this. As for Bill running as VP for Hillary, are the "it would even be legal" statements pertaining to him running as Hillary's running mate or the fact that he was president twice already. If the latter, he could even run for president again, he just couldn't serve three terms in a row. Vote for Nixon, we need a Dick in the white house. Steve
