college students?

Not quite sure if I picked up on this in my intro post (and if I did and forgot, I blame it on the topamax!!!) but how many college students are there out on the boards? From the cluster statistics I guess you are also girls/women/ladies whatever you call yourselves in your 20s...but any other college/grad school even high schoolers about to enter exam times? Just wondering so we can offer each other some support. I'm enjoying some oh so thrilling work after missing a lot of class being hospitalized from a long cycle filled with days and days of kip 10s and just curious if anyone is in the same boat/has been in the same boat before..anxious about a cycle coming during exam week and the like. I have 2 weeks of class an 1 week of exams... but I only have one exam this year everything else is papers. So come on students, step right up!!!

You'll be fine!!! I had these in college and gradschool and will surely have them when I go onto my doctorate. We have them and manage to work and lead successful lives and fulfill many dreams despite the pain. You'll be fine!!! Have your emergency strategies and educate your professors to CH so they do not think you just have a headache or are a slacker. You'll be fine! Keep telling yourself that and guess what......... You will be

I went to college once. I gave them A LOT of money. Some of it I even had to borrow. They gave me a piece of paper. Only afterward did I learn that it was not a good trade. I started getting cluster headaches after college. Hmmmm. Maybe I got a piece of paper AND cluster headaches. REALLY, REALLY not a good trade.

I'm the one who made the top two thirds of my high school class possible. In college I didn't graduate Cum Laude, I graduated How Come Lordy? . My clusters didn't start until two yrs after college. jc

Hey Swimchica623, I'm at University in Australia (mature age) and always start a cycle right at the begining of semester! Luckily (fingers crossed) I've got a bit of a handle on the beast at the moment and the past few cycles haven't been too bad.... but do as E-Double said, let your lecturers/tutors know what you're dealing with! Mine have been very understanding to date - I gave them a copy of the letter to employers which explains CH and since then they always give me extensions etc when required. Good luck with your papers. I handed in my last one (studying philosophy) a week ago.... ahhh the relief. Take it easy and I hope you get some pain free time real soon, Kate

Hey Chica, like Ex2, I had these from before college, right through grad school and many years since. I'm doing just fine now (except for the darn headaches that keep coming around every year or so). Arm yourself with your abortives, and I would recommend you to get off the dopeymax if you want to do well in your exams. I got very dopey while I was on it, and I couldn't think of taking a test while taking that crap. Back in my day, I used to study with a drink called Jolt (anyone remember that one?). I was marketed as having twice the sugar and caffeine as regular coke. Looking back on it, I can see how my HAs would stay away while I was studying, given all that caffeine I was sucking down! Good luck with your exams. Keep us posted. Jose
