I have nothing but bad luck !! I got into a little arguement with my mom this morning (and we NEVER argue) and 15 minutes later she's in an ambulance, sirens screaming heading for the hospital in Louisville. Something happened with her heart. HR was 180 and the rythem wasn't normal. Right now she listed as 'stable' but will stay in the hospital for a few days for more tests. I don't usually ask for vibes ... but if there every was a time to ask for them, now is the time ! Plz say a prayer for my mom, Esther, tonight UNsolved

I hear what you're saying, Michael. We have been on a rollercoaster with my Mom for 2 yrs now. I walk on eggshells constantly, ever mindful of what my words might do. But, in actuality, she has a severe medical condition. We've had some tough conversations of late, and sometimes we are on opposites sides of the conversation. She knows how much I love her-mothers simply know. I'm thinking this is nothing to do with the argument. She is stable now, and soon you will be able to clear the air and get back to the warm, comfortable relationship you know you have with her. Meantime, please consider the fact that she might have had a condition already onboard which would have landed her in CCU today, regardless. Make every day count, because we just never know, do we? Love each other, love yourself, and don't worry about the past, just work on today, would you please?? Cathi

Vibes abound here in Clusterville, directing mine in a more northernly direction! Hope everything works out OK, You gotta let the guilt go, Bro. Just think, if it hadn't surfaced with this situation, where or when might it have come up! At least you were there for her! Fate just stepped in and used your argument as the reason to reveal this situation with Mom's Heart problem. Believe me, better like this instead of driving down Highway 64 or 65 or 71! Pappy

Vibes and Prayers for your mom! I hope she is doing okay! Please post an update when you get the chance! I know what you mean about the fight - my mom and dad had a big blowout before my dad ended up collapsing in the driveway - it happened maybe 15 minutes after the fight, also. His ended up being a gigantic panic attack, but seeing him - you wouldn't have known it wasn't a heart attack. He was totally out of it and didn't even speak for like 6 hours. HE was hyperventilating and holding his chest. And some of the heart rhythms were abnormal - extra beats and such. But anyway - if it hadn't happened then, it would have happend some other time. It's not necessarily the fight - but the stress hormones that the body releases in an intense situation. Sailpappy is right in that it could have been anything and at least if the fight had something to do with it, then she had it at home and not while driving on the highway or some other scary place. Don't beat yourself up. You never fight with her and I'm sure she knows how much you love her. Arguments do happen....you did NOT do this to her!! Hang in there!! Hugz, Carrie

I was there to see her first thing this morning. Told her I was sorry for argueing with her and we made up. I got a hug and a "Love You Mom" in Doc says the medicines helped bring down the HR but it lowered the BP too low so they had to keep a very close eye on it all night waking her up about every 15 minutes. They called a cadiologist in the middle of the night. I think there was another med administered, but I don't know what it was. They also did more tests today (heart sonagram thingy), X Rays, & blood tests. The X Rays & Blood tests came back 'normal'...but the doc wants her to stay a little longer to keep an eye on her. She said she's feeling much better, but tired and groogy. Hopefully she's sleeping comfortably now. She also said she wants to go home. She hates being in there. She said she's too young to have any problems (She's 74) Next Update tomorrow Thanks for the vibes & prayers everyone. I think know they're helping ! UNsolved
