Memory foam beds beware!

So my wife and I both have soar backs in the mornings so we thought about getting one of those memory foam mattresses, just so happened that a friend had one and his girlfriend did not like it so he sold it to me for $100 ok this is not the one you see on TV the Temprpedic just some off the wall brand that he got new for $400. We tried it and it did not help it was way to firm so I put it on Craig’s list to sell it, but got to thinking that maybe if I cut it open and just took the memory foam out and put it on our bed it would help? Well most even the one on TV is only about 3” of the memory foam, so I put a small cut on the seem and the dam thing only had an 1/8” of memory foam, what a rip!
I did manage to sell it for $150 and then a friend told me she got one at Cosco so I went down and sure enough they have a vacuum packed mattress that is 2.5” of the memory foam and comes with a microfiber topper that is 1.5”  and for the queen it was less then $150 and is so nice to sleep on, just can get over how a company can sell a bed calling it memory foam with such a little amount in it, so if you are in the market do your homework, oh and Costco also had a 12” queen memory foam bed for $500 not even that $3000 dollar one on TV comes close to that.

Just though I would share.

That doesn't surprise me at all.  But glad that you shared and in the future if I ever think about buying one, I will think twice.  Thanks!  Glad that you found something that works well for you!!

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

We got ours from Costco. Very comfortable to sleep on, but it makes yoga more difficult.
