Something to Ponder

A pheasant repeatedly whined to a bull. "I would love to be able to fly up to the top of that tall tree over yonder, but I don’t have the ability or energy to fly that high" Frustrated, the bull finally replied, "My droppings are packed with nutrients, why don't you nibble on some to improve your flying abilities." The pheasant pecked at a lump of dung and the next day reached the first branch of the tree. After eating some more, he reached the second branch. The forth day he was able to reach the forth branch but the fifth and following days he could fly no higher. The pheasant began whining about his situation to a horse, insisting that the horse allow him to fly up on his back and into the tree. By now the pheasant had developed a distinct odor about him so the horse reluctantly agreed - if only to avoid continuing his chats with a smelly pheasant. From the horses back the pheasant reached the top of the tree but once there he found himself exposed and unable to fly down. The next day he was easily spotted by a farmer who dashed into the farmhouse, emerged with a shotgun, and shot the pheasant out of the tree. The Moral of the Story: Bullshit and riding the backs of others may get you to the top but surviving once you get there requires an ability to fly on your own. Tom

Would the owner of the propane torch, egg beater, pipe expander and vise grips please claim these items. They're lodged in my head and I need the space.
