Dam teenagers!

So we let our 17 year old daughter take my wife’s 99 Range Rover to a haunted house the 2 Saturdays before Halloween and she takes her best friend with her, well her best friends boyfriend shows up with three of his buddies and they have been drinking. I guess the boyfriend does not like my daughter so he and his friends decide to take it out on our car, they take turns kicking it and keying the car, at least that is what the witness says she saw and thank god someone saw it and left a note on the car, she also saw them tossing there beer cans under a car when they saw her watching them. My daughters friend got her boyfriend on the cell and had it on speaker and got them to admit they did it with my daughter listening and when she picked up the phone and told the guy that it was her moms car he threatened to blow the car up and her friends said he is crazy enough to do it, great just great. We call the cops the next day because being the average bright teenager she thought she needed to talk to us before doing anything like you know calling the cops at the seen of the crime! Turned out the one who made the threat had a rap sheet as long as your arm and the cops left our house and went right to his and tossed him back in juvy for braking his probation so at least that was good but what a pain it the ass. So now go a week later and my daughter is being harassed at school for being a nark and these kids are tossing water bottles at her and my wife has to make a trip to the school now if this isn’t enough for my poor daughter to go through, she is driving down our dead end street and there are a couple little boys that live up the street and that my younger daughter play with all the time, and one of them runs across the street right in front of my daughter as she is driving up the street he clears her car and she hits the brakes but not soon enough to avoid hitting the older of the two as he runs out just behind the younger brother. She has a 95 Firebird so it is low and has that plastic front end so he does not get hurt by the car but the pavement was not as nice and he got 6 staples in his head. His dad was nice and said if anyone had to hit him he was glad it was her because he knows how slow she drives up the street and there are a couple people that if it had been them his son would no longer be with us and no matter how many times we yell at these idiots they still speed up and down the street, I think I need one of those tack strips the cops use. Matt

Holy Crap Matt, One of my biggest regrets in life has always been that we only have 1 son and no daughters. I am never going to have a blushing bride to give away or a teen to give that ( oh Dad ) look that means your treating me like a little kid but I love you for caring You just made me feel a wee bit better. Seriously I hope it all works out and there are no more repercussions. ..................Tim

Dude, that's rough. I hate that some of our schools have become a 'lord of the flies' situation where your daughter would get harrassed by losers who support bigger losers. I am glad he got busted. Hope she stays clears of those types in the future.

Matt, I don't know how you do you do it. I think Murphy's law was modeled after you. Thanks for letting me know what to look forward to when my girl gets older!

| Will you all be notified when this kid gets out of juvy? Sounds like he has some "issues" to say the least. If I were you, I would look into victims rights in your state/county re. victim notification of pending release. Considering the threats he made and his history, you definitely have the right to know when he gets out. Call me paranoid, but it always pays to be well informed when you are the victim of a crime. Do not count on the cops and prosecutors to tell you everything you need to know either--they don't. I hope evrything turns out Ok for you. Tata

That creep of a kid who did all this was somebodys SON. One can't feel like they're out of the woods because they don't have a daughter.

Your right Linda, I think I was lucky that mine (TIM II) took his aggression out on the wrestling mats which in Indiana is kind of like football in Texas. That and his mother did a stellar job at raising him. Funny thing is that he seems to credit me with his good upbringing. I have to remind him to send Mothers Day and Valentines cards to the real hero. He never forgets Fathers Day or Veterans Day. There is no justice sometimes .....Tim BTW: Excellent suggestion TaTa
