Does o2 freezes?

I got hit about 2 this morning, I can't get the tank to work. I know it has o2 in it. we keep the tank on the porch, I have plastic around the porch but its really cold out there. I have no idea how to work on the darn thing. Just my luck. I am going to the race any way. If I get hit bad no one will know, those loud generators and all. I will just slip away to the camper. I did get some sleep last night before and after and feel good today, it being cold out helped. I just sat on the porch till the pain died down. Clusters suck but I don't plan on it stopping me from doing anything. Camping or any thing else. Anyone have any idea what could cause the valves not to work on my tank?

| Carve that in stone, darlin', and tell all your friends. Sweeter words were never spoke.

Elaine--- OK, first the important stuff--I hope you have a blast at the race and I'll be hoping the beast gets scared away by all that noise. I was keeping my tanks on the porch, too, but was worried something might happen with it being so cold so I moved them to my room. When I brought them into the house they had condensation on them, so.....I don't know if they can freeze or not--but maybe try taking the regulator off and let it warm up and dry out. I got hit at the same time you did last night and did the same thing--went outside and froze myself to help get rid of the pain. I'm the only person I know who's glad it got down to 30 degrees the last couple of nights. Good luck with the O2.

My guess would be that you have moisture in the regulator and that's what froze.

Buddy is going to take the tank to a friends and see if he can figure it out. I already called my doctor about getting a reg o2 tank in here. Hopefully this time next week I will have IT WORKED OUT. I have everything I need ready. My cluster kit I will be just fine.

| Yep. Echo's right. Condensation that formed water ice. Did bringing it inside help? If not, it may be a different glitch in the regulator. 02 won't freeze (or go slushy, rather) unless you're on the planet Neptune. Best, George

I got it working, it was the nut behind the valve.

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.
