am i in prisoner here or what?

i cant help but get the feeling that i am in some sort of prison here. (NOT CH.com-  the CH cycle).
i just read a post, where in a 'cell' was somone who has suffered/endured Ch for 20yrs. Ill refer to this person as a lifer. they have been around, know how the system works. they have done the tough yards.
in the 'cell' to the other side, was a newbie, 'fresh meat' just arrived in the 'big house'. trying to found out how things work, whats happens, what to expect.
ME- im in remand. Im been here a while, but i dont know for how long. i havent had my trial yet and havent been sentenced.
I guess what im trying to say is, that even though i have just got here, i doubting if i can survive the time. (figuratiively, not literally ) After all i havent committed any crimes. I was in the wrong place at the wrong tiime.
I just want to have my sentencing and know how long it will be until i can get the f@#ken hell out of this joint.

Dude, you're just like the rest of us here on the island. You've been tried, convicted and sentenced to life - with the possibility of parole. The sooner you accept that, the better your life will be. The best thing you can do to help yourself is to learn all you can and pass it on to the new arrivals. You'll learn new treatments and coping strategies and feel good about helping your fellow sufferers.

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

I stopped worrying about it. Last I checked there wasn't a due date on the bottom of my foot. And that joker only gets one shot at me at a time.
