The 'Windy City' Lived up to it's name with wind gusts of up to 45mph !!

Wish I had known you were in town! I was actually home for a change. Would have been happy to have met you for a cup of coffee or something.
BTW, Chicago is known as the Windy City because in the mid 1800's both the Democrats and the Republicans held their conventions in town on the same week. A newspaper columnist said that with both parties in town there was so much hot air going on it was the windiest city in the world. With the lake, though we do get our fair share of wind.
