hello everybody. my friend found this website for me.i am shocked at the amount of pain here. its a little traumatizing for me... last week was the first time in my 34 year life that somebody put their hands on me and said to me..."dont worry i will make sure we get you some help" this coming from an emergency room doctor, first time in my life someone actually helped me. i was admitted to hospital and after a week of moriphine and codeine injections an out of town neurologist diagnosed me with cluster headeaches and now i have found you guys. dont mean to take up your time but whoever started this site really did something good here. just knowing tht im not the only one.......its like coming out of the dungeon my family doctor has put me in so so so long ago. i have read some postings and messages..........cannot stop crying fr past hour. i am so sorry for all of your pains. if i can help anyone please let me know...if there is anything ill do what i can eh. my lack of sleep and sanity is clouding my judgement here and wht im suppose to say but i am happy know to finally understand wht is wrong with me and to see tht there is some help out there..... peace and love will win the day peace.....allen

Hello Allen, Welcome home ! Yes, I felt exactly the same way when I came onto this Board not that long ago. Fear, joy, relief, worry, peace ... all rolled into one and tears did flow freely, and I am not a clusterhead, my DH is. Thanks for offering help on your first post. That is just so amazing ! Hang around, post questions and start making some friends Take care and painfree wishes to you. Annette

I found this board after 22 years of suffering and could not tell you how it helped. Read all the sidebars and get informed. Post and ask ask ask questions you still have. I know the feeling. I cried for a whole day after I found this board. I was in a very bad cycle. Dont' ask.

Give us a good run down on your symptoms and pain levels and treatment they have tried and we will all do our best to help you get your doctor to give you the best treatment he can. It is very clear that most doctors do not know much about CH so you have to educate them by doing your own research and taking them everything you can to help them help you. So keep reading and asking questions, there are a lot of good people here that want to help and thanks for offering help on your first post, that is what this place is all about. Sorry you had to find us but glad you are here, welcome to the funny farm. Matt

well, actually - he doesn't live too far from Queen's (University) so maybe.... naw, that title's reserved for Chewy, right? Allen - you'll note that we already have another KingOfPain here and, well...he picked the name first, he's been here longer, so technically - he does have bragging rights to the name. These Yabb boards, though - even if you make one character different from another user name, they will allow this kind of duplication. Not your fault. How about SarniaSufferer? Or maybe even PRINCE of Pain, would that work? Or hey...even just Allen?

Welcome Allen to the madhouse.....it didn't take long did it? I know where you've been and I sobbed when I first saw the guestbook. I had no idea..... I've been pain free for 15 years but it was a revelation. You'll find lots of good ideas, advice and lunacy here. Pay attention; these people know their stuff. It's good to be the King. Charlie

| Welcome Allen. You are NOT taking up our time and the "whoever started this" person would be a man named DJ He is our hero... but he will be the first to say it is, 'US' who have made this site what it is. KOP or Steve, is our (American) King of Pain so if you want to change your name you've certainly been given a few rather interesting choices to come up with. Hope you pick one you will like. ( Margi? Do I end this with an "eh"?)

Allen, I just want to add my welcome to what may very well turn out to be the most meaningful site you have ever clicked on. Here you will find the most comprehensive collection of knowledge of CH and links to more than anywhere else in the world. You will also find nutcases (no Helen I did not mean you and some true rocket scientist types. Yes there is a lot of pain here, but if you share this pain than you are in the right place. The most amazing thing you will find here though is a depth of understanding, caring, and love that you can only see in the very best of families! As far as the name thing goes as you see we already have 1 in name and another by reputation (yes jonny i do mean you), so you might want to rethink that. History has shown that when you get too many Kings and not enough subjects it is usually a couple of the Kings that lose their heads Nice to meet you and wishing PFDANs to ya.....Tim
