I adopted one  several weeks ago.

I used OJC (Operation Just Cause)...that's where Tanner went to adopt his.

Mine is a U.S. Marine...from El Paso, Texas, KIA in Vietnam.

It's an emotional thing...especially to those of us who grew up during the Vietnam War.

I have flown my U.S. flag every day since 9-11.....Now, I have my POW/MIA flag flying just beneath the U.S. flag.

I also have my bracelet...with my adoptee's name, rank, branch of service, and the particulars as to where he died.

It's a real honor to me....I am privileged to do this...and when we all go to Va, I plan to go to Washington, and find my adoptee's name on that wall!!!!     Kiss

God Bless the U.S.A.

When I was in High School, we could but these little metal bracelets (for $5., I think) that had the name of a VietNam POW or MIA. I wore mine constantly. Then, when they released the last of the prisoners, I'd check the newspaper everyday for my guy's name. He was never found.  Cry  I still have that somewhere, I believe I kept it on for at least another couple of years.  Cry
