| Helen doesn't have to do that - English cuisine can do that all by itself.

Matt - Welcome home! I'm so glad that I got to meet you and your family. You and Mary should come to Philadelphia some time to also check out the history of the Matlocks over on this side of the pond!! I like the pics you've posted here! Looking forward to the cd of pics, if you can still send it - since I definitely don't have those! They definitely made me smile!! Was the weather good for the rest of your trip? I feel like I really lucked out!! All my friends even keep telling me how I lucky I was to have such sunny weather for 8 days in England!! You know...I never ended up eating any spotted dick either!! (No comments from the peanut gallery, please!) I was just thinking about that the other morning as I was thinking back on the food shopping trip that Helen and I made! Hope you get to rest some now that you're back! Yesterday I finally had a day off (on Tuesday), and I slept for almost all of it. It felt so good to finally have time to sleep!! I was exhausted after the trip and the time change and all...then had 3 days of work once I got back and then the day off yesterday. Tonight I worked 3-11, but I now have off Thursday to Saturday, but I play in theater productions every night! I'm excited!! Oh and you successfully survived eating the salad I made, too!! Helen didn't teach me any of her cooking tips!! Hugz, Carrie

| We had one day ofrain while Matt and Mary were here - Monday - and it's been sunny and warm again ever since but the nights are flippin FREEZING! I thought I'd done my sitting outside for the season but I've had Michelle and Lisa here the past two nights and I have all of them plus kids coming for dinner this evening (cast iron stomachs that lot have! ) Michelle said to say goodbye to you all and she is sorry she missed seeing you, Matt she has asked you to give Mary a huge big hug from her, she really liked her. She and I have an appt at the doctors tomorrow for her, MY doctor has had a few days off and we were waiting to see her so I'll let you know how that all goes.

Matt, Welcome home (bet you're talking funny now ) Heard the catfish are bitting big time... Go catch us some and yell at me and we'll fry 'em up. I'm a good fish fryer. Glad you had a good time. Give Mary a hug for me. Hugs BD
