I want to wish my Jewish friends a Happy New Year !!! I work in NYC every night/early morning and with the UN Crap going on it has been busy---so a little early --but-happy Rosh !!!

...Hashana to you all! Living in a very Orthodox Jewish neighborhood, I remember quite distinctly the sounds of "Happy New Year".ringing out. just as I had gone back to school each year. Being the shiksa in this community, and new to it as well, I was, to say the least, perplexed- till one time, I was invited to a family's seder. What a touching ceremony! For quite awhile, my friend would invite me for seder, and she always joined with us at Christmas. It was good for us both to learn other traditions. Happy Rosh Hashana to all.........
