The dragn in absence

Hi All, I have no idea if anyone has noticed or cared about me being in absence or not, but here is an update. Here is the exciting part, and need some positive vibes here... Last spring (5 months ago to be exact) I put in for a state job with the DOT. This job would be perfect for me. Anyway there were more than a thousand applicants. Since then the progression has slowly moved forward. Last week I was informed that I was one of 3 chosen from the huge number of applicants, and had an interview yesterday. I was even given the choice of when to interview. The interview seemed to have gone well, or at least I felt good walking out. Anyway they are supposed to let us know sometime next week. (pins and needles time) Other news. it appears that someone threw something into the yard and got the dogs sick. A very bad case of the squirts actually. (they are doing well now) The carpets were damaged beyond repair, so we had to rip out the carpet, and found, to our suprise, so very nice hardwood, (maple) floors. There were in bad shape, so tons of sanding was required. (we have 2 rooms left to complete, but that will have to wait) We have sealed the halls and office rooms and can say very happy with the results. Not much else for news, just working too much. We are looking at houses in different areas because the neihborhood we are in, has just too much crime. If I get this new job, we will also try to sell our house and purchase a new one. Well, thats it for now. Quiet dreams everyone! Dragn

Hi Lance, Good to see you back. Good news about the maple floors--a lot of work rehabilitating them, but worth it. Best, George

Yes, Lance. We miss you. You got here a week before me and you were a big part of my coping. I know you've had a lot of studying and other things going on, now. Good luck on this job. It sounds intriguing. Charlotte
