OOOOO. The mushrooms did me in. I'm inordinately fond of mushrooms, and I'm not even a hobbit. Salmon steaks grilled on cedar planks here, with butter and lemon. Out-of-season asparagus (I know, I know). Big Idaho bakers. Best, George

Stayed home all weekend 'for a change'.....Brad's watchin sports till my head is spinnin so 'here I am'. So much for tv dinners and a movie Pam Brad ate at his golf outing.....which he actually won !!! (what ever that means....I am sports illiterate)

Cleaned out the fridge - it's leftover night. Grampa had Salisbury steak over noodles, I had Chicken and Dumplings, my bride had Eggs and an English Muffin (do they just call them "Muffins" in England?) with a bratwurst, and my son had the same thing as mama did. Made some room in the fridge, that's for sure. Now we gotta figure out what we're gonna make for tomorrow.

I just finished a week of eating imitation seafood in Vegas. Soon as I hit Boston I got a large basket of Fried Clams with a side of Fried Sea Scallops.

Not a trigger out of cycle, no. Thank goodness. A world without wine would be a world without--well--wine. Better save some for my daughter, too. She likes mushrooms as well. "I LOVE mushrooms", she just added. She's reading over my shoulder. Best, George
