It's a whole 62 degrees in the sun today, it's not supposed to get any warmer.  I have a lovely fire going, some hot apple cider and will soon sit down to continue knitting a camoflauge stocking hat (toddler size) while watching Food Network and HGTV.  Jesse just took the kids to play by his brothers for awhile and life just couldn't get any better than this! Grin

Have a wonderful Saturday everyone!

Nice pic, Melly....it's also perfect weather for the first home Badger football game. Grin  I'll try to update this post later with a pic if they let me bring in my camera (tight security, you know).

We're getting damp and chilly today here too Mel, thanks for sharing the fireplace.  I can put my feet up by the screen.

I miss a nice cozy woodburner.......we heated with one for YEARS and no longer have one.......heating an old two story drafty house with propane is NUTS.......but our tall block chimney is JUNK.....it needs torn down.....and no place to put anouther stove now.......triple wall pipe would run 4 grand or more here......shit !! We live in the woods with all the wood we could ever use too.. Loved havein a nice wood stove esp in emergencies when the power was out too which is a way of life cuz of all the trees in our area. I think were doin everything backwards esp with the cost of propane  tryin to heat a drafty old house. Winter dreader Pam

I'm not real excited about a mushie film, so how about we watch "Van Helsing" instead? Wink

BTW, hot apple cider is wonderful!  I am surprised you've never heard of it!  Tell you what, I'll make sure to get you some next time I see you, ok?

I have not seen "The Skeleton Key" as of yet.  Currently I am waiting to see "The Fountain", which also stars Hugh Jackman.  I'm not sure why, but I am just captivated by him. Undecided

Bein that we stayed home most of this weekend for a change to get stuff done (and Brad has his golf outing most of today and dinner there) I thought we'd watch a good pay-per-view movie tonight and was lookin forward to it. Been a while since we did that......but he is watching non stop sports all evening switching from football to golf to car races "STILL". Can't men watch anything that doesn't go around in circles or involve a ball Pam

Maybe I should download the fireplace screen saver and make sum popcorn and open a bottle of wine and kick back on my computer chair and stare at the monitor ?? Fun on a Sat nite........(should of oppted for goin out I guess) Cuz it's ending up BOREING !!!!! I keep hearin beer bottles hittin the trash.....what fun !!!!

Nice little fire Mel.

I love winter but then I'm a Swede.

The thing I like about it is the quiet. Winter is a peaceful time. All the kids watching Sponge Bob. Do I sound like an old geezer?
