Update and Thank Yous

Thank you all who have helped me through the last few days. Last night I tried the last of the ideas you all gave me (except for the one I couldn't even try and understand while I was getting hit). Although it has been a very tough 3 nights, I have a good feeling about tonight. I just took Migranal for the first time and it dropped my 1st evening headache into a shadow. It is suppossed to work all night, so Im waiting to see if it does, but for now I am very excited since NOTHING else was working. I did have to resort to vicadin to help knock ther nerve pain down enough with caffiene for the headache. The combo allowed me to get about 6 hours of sleep combined over the last 2 nights (which is an average of 2 hours and 55 minutes more than the first night). Anyway, if the Migranal doesn;t stick, Ill be back to trex tomorrow night when the Migranal has had 24 hours to leave my system. ANyway, thanks again all and I am hoping that soon the prednisone will do it's job, it usually does but it is taking longer this time. Again, many thanks!

I never heard that about migranol. My dr always let me do 2 in a 24 hr time period and they never lasted longer than 2 hours max. I was never told or under the impression that they were suppose to last longer than 2 hours at a time. Now Amerge and Frova are suppose to last long time like 8-24 hours. But those also only kept my ch away for 2 hrs. So I stick with imitrex ns. I am very glad to hear that you are getting some sleep. That is wonderful news! Glad something is working for you.

Framcire if you are referring to Charlies "technique" then yes....you must practice this when you have a clear head, but it does work to some extent for me. Once you've "got it" then when you feel a hit coming on it will be easy. Linda

| The doctor who perscribed the Migranal told me to take it 1 hr before my first headache would normally start and that I could repeat the dose 1 time within 24 hours if needed but that it should work for the entire time. However, a 3 month supply of migranal is only 18 doses so I have no idea how I was suppossed to take it daily. Linda; I will try to learn it when I can but for now, clear head is not something I have.
