I closed my business on Thursday last week...

And I started working on Friday in the school system... Not killer money but #1 perk.... I get the summer off and Feb vac and April vac... lookin good so far. I'm a teacher's aid working one on one with special needs kids. ps.....#2 perk I got home from work at 2:36!!!!
#3 perk.....full benefits...... #4 perk... 5 mins from home....I don't think its sunk in yet..... I might be broke til my first step raise..... but a few bucks is bettah than no bucks.....

You will love the school life. I'm an Executive Chef for a private school. It is the best, all school holidays off, all breaks, all summer and the hours can't be beat! Good Luck to ya in your new venture.

Ree, nothing better! I loved my years as an educational aide! While my kids were in elem school, I taught art history and the mechanics of art.......best days in my life career! Summers were spent teaching swimming lessons and going on day trips with my kids.and generally a few more.
.which reminds me.....I NEED A VACATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you're going to love it, Ree. There's something to be said for not having your work "mess" in your house. You get to go home to a place that's been empty! No more chubby fingerprints, spilled paint, awww....I think I miss daycare, LOL. Not really.
Gotta love those nice breaks, too.
