A few weeks back, someone posted that they were interested in what occupation everyone here in Clusterville held. I'll start... Stephanie...Bartender/Server, been in the hospitality industry for 10+ years. Hard work and very long hours. Got my degree in hotel/restaurant management in 2002. My husband, DJ, United States Air Force; 18 years. God Bless America! Let us know what you do, you never know...someone in our own back yard could help you out one day! Sincerely, Steph

I run a shortline railroad switching operation / car storage facility. I do everything from clerical, to running the locomotive and switching cars, to track work and customer relations. The pay is decent and my boss is 3 states away so I am left to my own devices. Matt edited to add....I do bass fish too

Darn it Steph, you have a way of making me log back on I will need to respond to this thread in the morning also. I had managed to figure out a way to keep working and make a good living around Clusters until I had my back injury (one that money is not going to fix), but what I was doing may help some others on the board so I would love to post the particulars in the next few days. I desperately want to work and get my life back because I am a hard head and won't seek the disability option even tho Linda and my docs think I am crazy! I know that I am crazy and am fairly sure that admitting to being a non-productive member of society would push me over the edge. I will have a more positive read on this issue manana!! GO TO SLEEP.....and have fairy dust dreams ...Tim

I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (behavioral psychology) and a Special Education Teacher. I have worked with developmentally disabled individuals for well over a decade in one capacity or another. I taught in several schools and helped start one up. I left my teaching position a few years ago before I was diagnosed and started a private practice in which I predominately ran Early Intervention programs. This worked out really well especially since I was able to create my own schedule which was a benefit since the hits were coming strong. I lecture and consulted through out the NY metropolitan area and was recruited to work for NY biggest hospital system in their Autism center. Now I am teaching the teachers and psychologists. I miss working with kids though. I still get calls and emails for direct treatment which really thrills me but I do not get to provide as much treatment as I like. Now I just help the local mommies toilet train their kids and deal with behavior problems of typically developing brats

Semi-retired. I ditz around with things here and there now, mostly to do with moving OPM (other people's money) around. Buy and sell rare books once in awhile. Trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up. Help my wife, Liz, with her consulting business whenever possible or whenever tolerated. Ride herd on a teenager. Fly-fish. Going to the South Fork below the dam to fish the tailwater with said teenager on Monday--should be some good caddis hatches coming off. Full report upon completion if desired. Fall fishing is the BEST. George

Besides Education, Masters Degree in Psychology--New School----I started a Trucking Business in 1983. At first we were ICC Contract Carriers for Cummins Engine Company / Farberware / Proctor Paint / NE Lobsters / Otis Elevator........I had 7 trucks--that ran from Charleston, SC--( Cummins ) to Presque Isle, Houlton . ME.......When I got tired of getting up at 1am--to start running an 18 stop load into New England--Mass., New Hanpshire , Vermont---destined to Mars Dept. and Channel Home Center stores, as well as Ames stores----I signed contracts with Gannett ( USA Today ) and The New York Times---This way I would stay local---The only long distance stops were Philadelphia and Boston.....Then in 2001 I had two trucks at the WTC---Five days a week--unloading USA Today and NYTimes Advances-----We pulled out together ---Myself in 1 truck----a NYPD Highway 1 cop in the other-----( Off duty cops are the best workers)-----On 9/11 it was a beautiful tuesday morning so we decided to stop for breakfast at 14th street ( Greenwich Village). The sound of sirens started--Police/Fire/Ambulances----But that is fairly normal in NYC----Right when breakfast was served the Cops' beeper went off---and it never stopped until he checked it and it was his precinct. That's when we knew what was going on----He had to report to his depot in the Bronx---and If I didn't have him in front of me---I never would have gotten out of NYC--We were in a lockdown. The rest is history....But since that day business plummetted. I still run Newspapers in bulk volume, but sales are dismal...........To show you how stupid these Newspaper Companies are.........On September 12, 2001----I came to the plant for USA, And the guard told me the load for the WTC was in Bay 2 !!!

Husband (24 years, 1 month from yesterday). Father (of a pretty cool 14-year-old young man). Part-time caregiver to my live-in father-in-law (this is my bride's full-time job these days, and she has earned a free ticket to heaven as such). Industrial Engineer (for the largest overnight priority package company in the world). WIBassPlayer (the "bass" part pronounced differently than Jean's). In that order.
