Sorry to hear it.
I had a 24 hours like thaty too. Head hurt, kids crazy, friend's husband died, another friend got a horrible crank call at 4am from the "Police Department", scrambling to get house ready fro home study, and no sleep.
However, today I am feeling better, got great support here, and I got an offer to work for the Early Childhood Special Education school here (I used to work for them before we had kids). 24 hours makes a huge difference and I hope you can say the same tomorrow.
If you want to vent about your job, shoot me a PM or email. I am more than happy to listen.

I love what I am trained in and what I have done throughout my carreer.
I do not like where I work or how things are run.
The place has so much potential because we are part of a research hospital
That is also a downfall.......
Need to do TONS extra to justify $$ but need $$ to hire staff but can't make $$$ without staff......
Too many cooks in the kitchen because it is a transdisciplanary team yet not ONE main leader.
I came into the job and have yet to catch up for other people's errors and keep getting new shit thrown on top of me.
My department is the only one that has brought in $$ apparently yet we are the ones that get thrown tons more work. Because schools were closed we did summer workshops yet they did not bring in the revenue that was hoped.......Well go figure people try to enjoy their summers!!
Now they want us to continue workshops over the school year which would be fine if I could adjust my schedule.........but I can't!
They want me to step up and lead yet I still don't know what the hell I'm supposed to be doing after now 5 months.
They take on too many projects that they can't possibly handle and then things are gonna go to shit.
I've seen too many good programs do this! and I hate it.
That'll burn ya out.

Not enough appreciation!
I don't get to do any of the things that were presented to me upon interviewing.......It sucks!
I used to work half the time and made the same $$ yet did not have the all important benefits which are so needed especially with the baby. Now I will need to find some time to work another job yet can't because all of the extra that I have to put in at this one which I am not compensated for.
But I am providing for my family and that is important.
That's it and though it is probably unintelligable I'm sure the bulk was clear enough.
The baby is the baby.......
still having a rough time and it is hard getting docs to listen. It's kind of like us.
We think that in addition to GERD she is presenting with Sandifer's Syndrome.
Getting treatment for a disorder that even specialists don't understand. I'm trying to find a Pediatric GI that specializes in GERD and that is current with research b/c they keep increasing a med that is ineffective for her.
Kinda like giving us Advil for a Cluster.
It may work for a general tension ha but not for a CH.
Thanks.......feels good to spill though if this is ever monitored
