I have said the same thing before. However, the benefit to someone posting a chat-link is...
When someone posts it, you know someone is in there.
Next time you are going to chat, before you log in, just save it in your Internet Explorer favorites and you can recall the URL at any time and post it saying...
"Get yer asses in here and chat 'em off!"
