Thank you to my Bossman

You know, I've posted here several times about my trials and tribulations with my boss.  I've worked for this man for 17 years, he's 70 years old, set in his ways, can't hear, and can be a total pain in the A$$.

But, for about the last three weeks, I've been trying to start a new cycle, and have been combating it with alternatives.  Last night, about 2:30 AM, I woke up, not with a CH, not even with what I would call shadows, but pressure.  I was able to go back to sleep until 4:30, when I again woke up with distinct, heavy shadows.  Downed several cups of strong black coffee, all was well, and went to work.

Around 9:30 AM started feeling light shadows again.  By 10:30, they were very strong.  Bossman mentioned that he was going to make a run to the local grocery store and stock us up on paper towels, toilet tissue, etc for the office.  I asked him if he would check in the sports drink section and pick me up some Red Bull, explaining why I wanted it.  (He is fully aware of my cluster headaches - has seen a full blown attack).

Bossman went to the local store, couldn't find it, went to another store, couldn't find it, and came back at 2:00 this afternoon with a four pack of Red Bull for me.  Not really knowing what he was looking for, this man went to four stores before finally finding what he was looking for (mind you, knowing bossman, he didn't ask anyone at the store).

Bottom line is, as difficult as this man is to work for, he went out of his way to get me something that I needed for my head.

He can truely be a sweetie when he puts his mind to it.

he sounds like he must be a well-trained married man.  His wife probably taught him years ago:  "DON'T come home without it!!"

Good to hear, Sandy - this kind of kindness goes a long way, doesn't it?  Smiley

BTW

Chugged one of those Red Bulls, and the shadows are gone!

This man drives me to distraction, then he does something like this for me.

How can I stay mad at him?   Undecided  Guess I can't.

Sometimes even under the roughest of exteriors, lies a heart of gold.  That is so cool that he did that Sandy. Hope the shadowing eases up for you.

Hugs,
Jen

btw: someone tell me what Red Bull tastes like.

Jen, Red Bull tastes like an apple jolly rancher smells. It takes a little getting used to, but it grows on you.  I also like low carb Monster, and Tab energy drink.

Sandy, you know he probably saw it and couldn't believe how much it cost and thought "this can't be it", and then finally decided it was.  It is very nice of him.
