What an awesome show. Must have been hell for them just sitting there, waiting to get out. Bourdain is probably the best television Chef out there.

Yes--It was a very good show. He graduated from the CIA, Where my son also graduated from. My son met him on campus and said that he is the same way in person. Shows you how things can change on a dime in the middle east.

I'd call him more of a food critic, but I know exacty what you mean. He's not afraid to dive right into a completely foreign culture and sop it up with localized biscuits.
