And I wonder why when I had to go see my father in the hospital after he died and rig had set in that his mouth was wide open, aint they suppose to put a chin strap on so it stays closed? (I dont know)

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

That's a job I couldn't handle cuz of all the crap and treatment or lack of it for patients.......why aren't there tons of nurses and all anyhow......all my friends that are in different forms of health care tell me similar stories and how overworked 'they' are to exhaustion. And they can never get off for weekends at all to have a life.....yet nurseing seems to be one of the most respected jobs there is ? My mom took on a volunteer job at the hospital working in a unit that deals in critical patients. I dunno how she does it.......now they got her working extra hours and several days a week and am afraid she is goin to get overwhelmed. Esp when she works for free........unhealthy care Pam
Good luck with the next job and hope it is the one your looking for.......you gotta be tough havein ch and ya sure do sound careing.....so would think "you'd" be in demand !!!
PS: my home kennel business has fallen on it's face too.....no one wants to travel far to look at stuff and when they do call they want me to give pups to them free now or TELL ME what they want as if I called them. They want guinea pig sized dogs for half the price....that's not a dog !!!! There rude half the time......it's starting to freak me out !!! I have pups at less then half price now and a few dogs dirt cheap. Everyone that calls gives me a hard time cuz they are NOT what they want ??? Huh ????

Sorry, but I had to delete the original post as it was pointed out to me that I might be putting myself in a position for trouble for being so "open" with my complaints.
Anyway, I am leaving, Carrie, due to the trickledown effect of the shortage of nurses, and overwhelming stress of working 12 hours per day without one break....you know the drill. My position as a monitor tech is stressful enough as it is, althought I love it, but the added burdens being placed on me are just too much.
Sailpappy, you big rascal, I feel the same way too about our lasting friendship. I know I don't deserve the many compliments you rain on me, but I won't tell anyone. Yes, Georgia is on my mind , but not for at least a year or so yet. Hope you and Terri are doing fine.
