Rally fans in here...? (now with current results)

I just had to ask... Because the Neste Oil Rally begins here at Jyväskylä today. That means that the world's best rally drivers gather here to compete againt each other for the next few days. http://www.nesteoilrallyfinland.fi/en/ I'm not that much into rally myself. But the action cannot be missed in this town! I already heard some of the cars practicing - the first race will take place quite near me. And I saw few of the cars as they were driving around. Then there are T-shirt sellers, food stands, rally tourists, volunteers, rally info sheets, rally flags, rally posters and if I'm not mistaken... also loudspeakers, which will announce all the race info to each and every person walking in the city centre. Want to go? Well, the tickest to the service park are 10 euros/2 days (around 13 dollars/7 pounds), the individual races are between 12 and 20 euros (16 and 26 dollars/7 and 14 pounds), the all access rally pass is 50 euros (64 dollars/34 pounds). (I must admit that I'd rather pay 50 euros for a plane ticket to see some of my dear ch pals in the UK... ) And sometime tomorrow my boyfriend's 3 pals will arrive to the city to see us and the rally races. It will be interesting to see how we get our schedules to match! Best wishes, Sanna

I've never been to one but watch the Dakkar on Speed TV when it is on. You should have a great time, it is like most sporting events, better to be there than to see it on TV.

My friend Jackie at work would love to be there. She and her boyfriend are rally freaks. I like the team work of a pit crew most. I don't get out much. Charlotte
