My very 1st job for a stranger...

I had taken Lily to the new Aspirus Clinic in town yesterday to check for a possible ear infection (she doesn't have any, just a lot of wax and also a light sprain to her foot).  Well, while waiting at the counter to fill my paperwork out, I had noticed a flyer that said they were having their grand opening on Aug. 12.  I thought to myself what the hell, I pulled out my card and gave it to the receptionist.

Cut to today.  I was getting chicken ready for the crockpot around Noon when the phone rang.  It was the manager from the clinic asking if there was anyway to get 3 or 4 balloon centerpieces for their open house at 6pm.  After giving her a quote, her saying "ok" and then me having to call her back to let her know there'd be $10 delivery, I ended up making 4 of these bouquets...

THEN, as soon as I get home, my neighbor calls me to see if I can make a Birthday bouquet for her to take to work tomorrow for a co-worker.  Here's that too! (the pic doesn't do it justice at ALL.  There are 2 purple & 2 blue jewel toned balloons and 2 confetti balloons plus the mylar)...

I'm flippen tired, but I have $75 in my pocket for 3 hours work!!  If this is just a peek at what is coming, I am very excited!!! Grin

BTW, I forgot to plug the damn crockpot in so we didn't get to eat until 8:30 this evening. Roll Eyes

If you don't see $75 as chicken feed, you aren't thinking like a poultry tycoon. Wink

Congrats, Mel - the first dollars are the hardest. Wishing you many more.
