Our esteemed empty-suit ex-governor (who is now Secretary of the Interior) was once a very new Senator representing the odd state of Idaho. When he ran for election to the Senate lo these many years ago, one of his campaign promises was that he would work to get rid of the attendants in the Senate elevators.
After he was elected, we never heard another word about this important issue. And the attendants are still there.
Hope he enjoyed his rides.

They stay there too long and think they're OWED something. They forget the people who put them there.
We've got a nice Jewish boy running for governor in Texas - Kinky Freidman. One of his band members said, "Kinky will do what's right or I'll kick his butt personally!" Hope he gets elected. I'm doing everything I can to see that he does.
