Trauma now over....

Last Friday (while I was gone) my little Caleb let Homer (the dog we adopted from Florida) out the front door. Apparently his parents didn't see what had happened. When I got home (about 4:30), the neighbor came running over to tell me the Dog Catcher had picked up Homer. I called the pound and they were closing and told me I couldn't get him till today. We didn't even tell Caleb that Homer was in jail but this morning when his Mom brought him over, he went into the upset mode because HOmer didn't greet him. So the past couple of hours I've gotten to know the Caddo pound really well (really nice people there). Homer was safe and sound and GLAD to see us. I guess the people there felt sorry for me (or maybe it was Caleb that got to them), but they didn't even charge me for the "impound" ($50). Had to have him REvacinated because I couldn't find the certificate and he'd lost his tag, but that was only $15. I was figuring on paying around $100, so now I can go shopping. Homer has had his lecture (not that he paid much attention) and Caleb has settled down. Spent the whole ride home telling HOmer how much he loved him. My mini-pin was in a bad mood all weekend. Brought Caleb's dauchund home to keep him company, so now I've got three dogs in the yard and all of a sudden they want to bark at each other. Go figure! Anyhow, Granny's tired right now (Homer weighs about 60 pounds and didn't want to get in the truck - Granny's weight limit is about 20 pounds, but.....) Hugs BD

O my Goodness, Caleb now has a dog with a record! Glad you could bail him out. How's things going with the book Barbara? This part should surely be in there.
