So exhausted...missed you all!

Heeelllllooooo everyone! So in the past 48 hours I have worked 27!! My brain is moosh, my muscles ache, feet are swollen, and my knee is on fire!!! (For those that don't know, I work at Applebee's as a bartender) I don't think people quite understand the hours (and running their asses off) that waiters/waitresses, hosts, cooks and bartenders put in to make your dining experience great...now you know. (not that you didn't appreciate it already ...) But I have to vent, I had some of the rudest people come into my restaurant this weekend. I wanted to say..."are you always this pissed off or is this just the way you are?" STFU!!! I absolutely love what i do...but I miss my husband when I'm away so long. The next time you are out at a restaurant enjoying your meal, think about how many hours your waiter/waitress has put in for the day, if not the week. (AND working for $2.13 an hour!!!) I love you all and missed talkin with you this weekend. Hope you have a FABULOUS week...talk to you soon! Love and Support... Steph.....

It really peeves me when people treat those in service industries badly, I love the stories of waiter/waitress revenges, they really amuse me! Personally, I've always used how boyfriends treat waitresses, barmaids etc as a guide to whether I want to be with them or not.. and whether there will be another date or not! Those are hellishly long hours Steph, time for some R&R for you now lots of love Helen xxx

One of the things I've learned, now that I'm firmly entrenched in middle age, is to NEVER take out your problems on bartenders / waiters / waitresses. You think YOU had a bad day? Think what it must be like schleppin' food and drinks for some a$$hole who thinks it's cool to use you as a verbal punching bag. And I ALWAYS show my appreciation by leaving a good tip when the service is good. 25-30%. It's only right, especially when you consider what they are making as an hourly wage.

| I do the very same. Nobody deserves to be treated badly. (My boyfriend is one of those people who will compliment the staff when food is great etc.) Steph, I hope that the next time you go to work your customers will be wonderful ones! Best wishes, Sanna
