It only pisses me off when I have to put 52 gallons in the boat 
Last time I filled it up was $152.67.
All the oil co's are making a killin', but how much sense does it make when I can drive 15 miles from home and get gas for 25+ cents a gallon cheaper than right at my home. This is what I don't understand....same oil company, but that much cheaper.
Somethin' just ain't right.

Yeah...oil companies made record profits...but only because the price of a barrel of crude is hovering around 75 bucks a pop. Supply & demand...better margins & higher prices egual higher profits. But most of an oil companies profits go back into research and development while the Feds are taxing me 18.4 cents a gal and my state (Pennsylvania) is taxing me 25.9 cents a gal...for a grand total of 44.3 cents a gallon and it all goes into their coffers, with hardly any work on their part.

It takes a lot of cash to keep those potholes on the Interstate in good shape. With out them they have to install speed bumps......

Well Lee, I can only speak for myself but lets say you and I meet on the street and introduce ourselves to each other, you know, where ya from, work live etc....
Then we talk politics and I tell you that I am a Hard core blue blood Republican, your opinion of that is your business and none of mine, and what anyone thinks of my political bent has never concerned me in the least, we all are responsible to our own conscience as it should be. But I have to tell you or anyone else that especially in 2006 all things considered, when someone tells me they are a Democrat, I am absolutely Baffled and in that case I try to ratchet down the intellectual level of my comments to the Wal Mart/Jerry Springer level because inevitably That Is in fact who I am talking to as far as any grasp of what this country is all about.
