Oh I miss you all so much. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Y'know I don't think I ever realised how true that is before. The sheer unmitigated joy of seeing you all again and the utter desolation and physical pain of saying goodbye. The pleasure of being with so many of the people I love and the sorrow of missing those others I love so much who couldn't make it. The wonder of sharing the giggles and the agony of sharing the pain. This year was tough for me. I can honestly say though that not only did you all give me the strength to see it through but to carry on. I'm back now tougher than ever. No more tears (well maybe a few ) I'm ready to pick my oar up and get right back to rowing. I've had so much from all of you, love, support, understanding.... rootbeer! You're my life. The link between us is more than words, more than spirit even. Every beat of my heart has you flowing through it. I woudn't be here without you and I wouldn't be me without you either. Milwaukee this year was phenomenal. I was truly blown away by all that OUCH US have accomplished and are continuing to do. You guys are incredible. My hat is off and my hand is sky high and waving. Anything I can do to help is done, you just have to say. I couldn't be prouder to be a member of OUCH US, I couldn't be more confident of a shining future. Nani from the moment I saw you in Chicago we picked up right from where we left off. I love you so much, I loved meeting Bob, Mooshie and Jobo and I can't wait to see you again. You are.. oh bloody hell you KNOW what you are to me! PattiK I loved meeting you at last. It was so good to have our team together, the three of us had such fun and its no wonder we work so well together, we all have that same sedate and restrained sense of humour When are we going to Ireland?! Lizzie I loved meeting you and yours, you really do have lovely lovely kids. Tell Teresa I need her shoe size! BTW.. anyone who didn't know, when Cat was getting hit Lizzies son took off his t shirt to fill it with ice for her.. is he cool OR WHAT?! Charlie a convention wouldn't be the same without you honeybun. Linda and Jim it was lovely to see you again. Jean.. oh bugger it, you know! Jackie I love you and meeting Blake was wonderful.. hellooooo! Jimi and Ruthie don't leave it too long, Matt and Craig. You both know.. and Craig those rocks will be labelled with love. DJ and Steph, love always. Gator and Jane you know how much I love you two. Donna oh my evil twin I miss you! Steve you rock. Pep - no hay papel higienico.. any time you need my help?! NO?!!.. oh well Chuck you perv. Bring Steph next time or else! Chris its always good to see you lady, Beeyul, thank you for being such a good friend and for PMS. Putting uhup wyuth Mah Sheeee-uit! Jonny, I've just been and bought a new lipstick LOL Rori thank you so much for bringing Zeke, he is priceless and I really enjoyed meeting him and you again! Thank you for all you did, you're amazing. Oh and The Other Charlie! Your honey is scrumptious, nearly as nice as you Woobs and Ramon, Gena and Thomas, Jas, Brew and Mrs Brew, Lee, TomK and Mrs Tom, Svenn, Bente, Wildhaus, MJ, Rich, Jim, Mel, Ricky, Broomie, Carole, Ruthie, Kirk, jimmers, Blue Meanie - I met all of you for the first time but it didn't feel like it did it? I'm so glad I know you all. Meeting you in person has made my life a sunnier place to be. I know I've left people out, I know you'll forgive me. I'll be responding in detail on your own posts anyway. I think you all know how I feel about you by now. I love you all - those who made it and those who didn't. Together or apart you're in my heart and mind always. Helen

Helen, I couldn't have stated things better. I know what you meant about the ying-yang of it all. Many people have posted about this convention being even more of a bonding experience than usual. As a newbie, I can't compare yet. But I can say that even with many advanced warnings of how tough the coming home part can be, I still wasn't prepared for the emotional hit I took in saying my goodbyes. Meeting you and Nani and the rest of the conventioneers was truly life changing.

I know this one was hard on you. But the convention would not have been the same had you not sucked it up and came on. It was so good to see you again and as of now, we DO plan to go to the OUCH UK convention in June. Who knows there might even be a few surprise guests from America coming as well.

You have a special place inside me Helen. Words fail me, I am not as eloquent as some people here, sometime I wish I could just find the right words. Matt
