An Apology

I received a call from someone on the board today who I had given my phone# to because they were going through a hard time and I was trying to help. Well I was informed on this call that the pic thread I put out during Milcon was out of line and trying to stamp on the fun of Milcon. Please believe me when I say that was never the intent. I was just trying to rally some fun amoungst those of us who could not attend. So if I offended anyone I do apologise.

Don't know who said it - don't want to know - but frankly, perhaps said person should rethink that statement.  I don't think you did anything wrong at all and I got some enjoyment out of that thread too.

X2...hell I thought it was pretty funny.  When I went home Friday night, I was going to put up a thread from the other guests in the hotel saying to keep the noise and the cigarette smoke down...We all find our ways to waste bandwidth, some people think they are the self appointed bandwidth police.  Post on!

Jim,

I don't know who would or could have said such a thing. It was out of line and does NOT speak for the rest of us.

While sitting in the garden area with some of the other convention go-ers, we all took a look at your thread and simply DIED laughing!!  I believe someone even raised a toast to your ingenuity in making the best out of the situation!  Kudos to your creativity and humor, my friend.

Nevermind the naysayer.  No apology necessary.  We loved it and that is coming from the top!

Sheesh!  I thought your pics were very appropriate Alc.  And very funny.

EXACTLY!!!

I was here at home, mowing the lawn, working, cleaning, doing laundry.......and thinking of all the people at MILCON and hoping they were having fun.  Then I came in to see the thread you put up, totally not expecting it, and laughed my ass off when i saw you cleaning the toilet.  In fact, I thought it was so funny I made the wife take a look.

That was the funniest thread I have seen in a long time.
Frankly, I dont even see that point of view that is was mean spirited.

Thanks for the laugh, Jim.

Tell 'em Bollocks from me Jim!
All of us there were thinking of all of you who weren't there and whom we were either missing or longing to meet.
Seeing pics of you made our day too and if anyone else thinks otherwise then they need a sense of humour adjustment and I'm reliably informed I have the left hook to do it  Wink
We loved it Jim, no one posted negatively about it and frankly, if they don't have the nerve to say publicly what they will try and hurt in saying privately that should tell you all you need to know.

As another one who was living vicariously here at home, I found it a refreshing break, and thoroughly enjoyed your thread, Jim.I even tried to jump in with my OWN story!

Let's face it, we ALL would've liked to have been in Milwaukee, but, some of us simply couldnt do it this year, so we celebrated with you when we could...pored over the pics as they arrived, and went about our days with good wishes and humor.......
Jim, you made us ALL laugh! I know, since next year you will surely be at Rich Con, I  want to be there as well. I have to meet this wacky man!
As for complaints?? Bollocks!!!!!!!

now, I have to go back to learning how to resize pics....

Thank you, Alchemy(Jim)!

Jim,

OMG!!! Even though we were in Milwaukee, we still wanted to be apart of everyone's lives that weren't able to make it as well by viewing the other posts too!  We're not that selfish!!   Tongue  Sheeesh  DJ and I laughed at those pics, and wished you all were with us.

Thank you for making a "down" situation "up" for everyone that couldn't make it.  You're the best!!!

Like I was once told on this board, "there will always be someone to piss in your cherrios, just pour another bowl!"

Much love...
