Another one....Thoughts

I wish I could explain how full my heart is. The last few days have reminded me how very lucky I am to have all of you in my life. I believe this has to be the most emotional convention I have ever attended. So many tears....so much love. To see Mel again....and her beautiful family. I swear you can feel the love that Mel and Jesse have for each other. To meet so many new sufferers and supporters....TomK, Jimmers, Brewcrew, Lee, Rich, Ricky, Jasmyn, Dave, Patti, Carol, Andrea, Wildhaus, Ben, SandyC, the other Charlie ...just to mention a few. To see the faithful ones return...Jim and Linda, Jackie and Blake, Helen, Thomas and Gena, Bluemeanie, Lizzie, Teresa, Bill (racer), Donna, Mike and Jane, Lady Luv, Jimi and Ruthie, Svenn and Bente, Tina and Ramon, Jonny, Steve (KOP), Pep, Charlie, Michelle, Cat, Rori and Zeke, Mike (MR), DJ and Stephanie and many many others. Many thanks to Brewcrew and the band....that was an awesome performance you guys dedicated to the family. It was apparent that the others in the band are great supporters to you. Thanks to Teresa and the Wisconsin kids in red who put on an impressive performance. Thanks to Lizzie and Teresa and Brewcrew for the airport pick-ups and returns. Thanks to Ben for coming and bringing the clustermasx. Many, many thanks to the sufferers from other Countries who really make our conventions special. Their appearance is a special treat to us in the U.S. I could write many pages....but it's so hard because of the emotions I feel tonight. I have cried more in the last few days than I thought possible. I am overwhelmed by the display of love and committment that I have witnessed by so many. My heart is overflowing....and I thank each and every one of you for all the love you have given, not just to me, but to everyone. Much love, Jean

Jean, I was very blessed to see you again. It was a real treat to have you meet my family, but most of all my husband. Anyway, to echo and add to Matt's sentiment, I thank you wholeheartedly for all the extensive work you have done and are doing for OUCH. You and the rest of the crew on board now just amaze me and have kept my faith in OUCH alive that it can be, and IS, a respected organization with clear cut goals and a voice (that IS heard!) in this god forbidden world of pain. I love you. mel

| You are the most amazing person I've ever known. You've never left me....since day one you've been right here with me. Never in my life have I had a friend like you. When I hurt, you always seem to feel my pain...when I cry, you are right there to wipe my tears. Today has been difficult for me...moreso than any other. I don't expect everyone to understand....I realize I'm maybe a bit more sensitive than others. There's just something about seeing intelligent, educated, grown men and women crying...out of love and compassion for each other. To see a man cry openly and say how he wished he had found this support and love sooner than he did...and that he had never witnessed anything like this before..had never seen such a show of appreciation. I wanted to reach up and dry his tears....just as you've done for me so many times. It tugs on the heart....and my emotions run rampant. Thank you, Jackie....for it's through your love and support that I have realized how important it is to be there when someone cries....to hold their hand when they hurt...to support and understand the best I can...and to love...unconditionally. I love you, Jean

Jean, I've waited a whole year to see you again. A whole long agonising year of ticking off the days. I thought I was going to see you in DavCon but life - well life pulled a flanker as it's won't to do and that was tough. As soon as I saw your face across the bar I felt I'd come home. I feel so good sitting and talking to you and laughing and giggling, some of the best memories I have are the ones with you in and saying goodbye to you damn near killed me. You know that though and you know what? I'm counting the days again, 11 months and 3 weeks and I'll be there. I love you Jean Helen xxx
