I see, we here in California suffer the same affliction, we also had a piece of the Bay Bridge fall a year or so ago. And now they want to make ranchers pay for their cows farts, seems to adding to the global warming. I dont know if you know it, Jeff.......the big dig was paid for 60% by federal dollars, that means you and everyone in this country has been paying for these killer tunnels for the last 20 years.
We that live here knew it was just a matter of time before someone died.
No one up the chain gives a fuck, I have to go through that very tunnel to get to the airport Thursday.
Wish me luck....LOL

Really?.....If you figure in all the taxes that have been paid in for this big dig by the people in this country, we are the biggest tax grab of the country.
Now, one is dead.....there will be many more. I know many, many dudes that worked this dig and they say that shit is going to happen, and people will be killed.

It sucks that city inspectors mandated how it was to be built, and they also inspected it after it was built to see if it was to code.
Now that it failed, the construction dudes are to blame?
That is the opposite of what should happen. Once the city inspected and approved the tunnels, it should have released the contractors from any liability.
