Ah, the old ball parks. This is what Oakland's park is like. Sorry, I don't know which sponsor has named it now.
Catch a BART, find an open seat (do not sit in between anyone wearing red or blue), try not to make eye contact if you do, get up and move. Get off BART at the Collesium, hide smokes, wallets, watches etc.
As first guy approches and asks for smokes, pretend to do sign language and shake your head while pointing at ear. As second homeless guy approaches and says "gimme sum money man" start to act crazy, jump up and down while grabbing your skull and wads of hair and scream " Get out of my fire truck". At this point your half way across the pedestrian bridge. When third homeless guy with lots of chains approaches be wary...he's not homeless and he wants you to buy a genuine Rolex for 40 dollars, at this point throw your wife or girlfriend at him and run to the gate entrance, present your ticket and have a great day at the park!

Tim that is it exactly !!! I was sitting in Shea Stadium and I turned to my wife and daughter and said --" This place is awful!" They are building a new stadium for both the Yankees and Mets within the next three years. Philadelphia's new ballpark is beautiful, and PNC in Pittsburgh is a great place to watch a game. The new park for us is going to resemble Ebbet's Field where the Brooklyn Dodgers play. The Mets Single A team has a fairly new stadium in Coney Island, Brooklyn...........Sooner than later we'll have you at Shea with Linda watching America's Team. The Evil Empire plays in the Bronx---and believe it or not Yankee Stadium is still a great place to watch the evil one's play. I bath in Holy Water whenever I go there.

.well, I'm thrilled! I hate flamefests of any ilk!
Sooo...howzabout a good team to place at our virtually empty, virtually brand new PGE Park, here in Portland...aka Stumptown???? We have a team.err......the Nonames......and some stars...Whatzizname and Whozits........well, it beats our basketball teall, The Jailblazers! 
I'm still thinkin' synchronized swimming.........all the water you could ask for, Zwibby.....

Yup, sure did, Zwibby! Even had a little group of teensie lil 4 yr olds who learned teensie lil routines in teensie lil pink suits, with music playing, for their parents........what FUN!
Basically, I spent summers, when my kids were little, teaching kids how to swim. I got to spend summers at home, and kids got to learn to swim!
When all the freshman boys were doing "hell week' for the football team, my son was bumped up to Varsity on the swim team......my daughter too!
We are fish, what can I say???

We used to live in St. Helens, OR. Gods country!!! If the economy and my situation was different I would go back there in a minute.
We lived in SoCal longer (Malibu and Ventura) and given a choice I'll take the Columbia River valley every time

There shouldn't be 2 cities with the same name no matter the state. If Portland, Maine was founded first then they should get the rights. It's all too confusing!
And is Candlestick still Candlestick or is it 3com, and whats the name of the Giants ball park in San Francisco (the California one) And what about the Oakland (also the California one) A's,
whats that ballpark called now??? lol

I just wish, for this week, I were in Milwaukee........
I am a 4th Gen Californian, who is quite happy to be in OR-though, we need to be closer to the coast. Those wheels are already in motion.

and yes, Tim, St Helens is a wonderful community surrounded by beauty-so much so, you prolly wouldn't recognize it now- it's been filled up with subdivisions, sadly!
