I'm having a rotten day.....

My water heater went out yesterday and my "all-loving" son came over EARLY this morning to put me in a new one. It's now after three o'clock and I STILL don't have any hot water. First, the heater he bought was dented in when he unpacked it -- Back to Lowe's. Then a fitting broke - back to Lowe's. Now, he's gone back to Lowe's for more parts (but not before he asked, "Mom would it be a problem if I finished this tomorrow?" - he's gone back to Lowe's for the rest of the fittings!) Now why did I even mention this to him instead of just calling a plumber?
The I got to visit the ER about noon. Seems I pulled something in my shoulder and it hurt like hell. Thought it was a calcium deposit and needed some cortisone shot in it. The doc didn't really know what it was and gave me a Metrol pack and some Loritabs. But the bad part is the darn thing (pain) is running up my neck and triggering CH attacks. May have just pulled a muscle (don't remember doing anything to pull a muscle). With a four year old and a 50 pound dog - things happen.
Then my daughter-in-law calls and wants to know what we're having for dinner! GRANNY'S KITCHEN IS CLOSED TONIGHT - GET A DAMN CLUE - I'M HURTING PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!

Aw Barb! That sucks! Don't know what to say. Look on the bright side - If nice warm showers ever helped your CH, now you can't take one, but if nice cold showers helped - you're all set. 
Hope the shoulder, head, and water heater all get fixed quickly. I'm sorry sweetie, hang in there.

Well, the water heater situation sounds pretty average to me. Anything that involves water and pipes always requires 4 to 6 trips to Lowes or Home Depot.
Doesn't help to pull something in your shoulder on top of having to use cold water, though.
Hope tomorrow's better. Remember--if it requires more than six trips to the store, call the plumber....

Barb, sorry you had a rough day hope everything is better now and your son fixed the water heater. My father-in-law, if he is fixing anything it takes him about ten trips to the hardware store, my wife said before I came along nothing ever got fixed, he is also a talker and will talk to anyone so that makes ant trip to the hardware store longer. Needles to say I don’t ask him for help fixing anything.

 Sorry about your day, some have a spiral effect . darlin on a serious note , sounds like you may have a pinched nerve...see your doc asap, pinched nerves cause all kinds of issues. Loritab , like thats gonna work..had pinched nerves in my neck before and they hurt bad...ice ice baby...let us know and i sure hope you have a great day...all my best Summer..
