Patriot Guard

I know that several of you have joined the Patriot guard and have actually participated with them. My daughter and I had that honor yesterday. The right reverand and his ilk was supposed to show up in Winnsboro, LA, to voice their opinion at the funeral of Sgt. 1st Class Terry O'Patrick Wallace. Although there were *sightings*, none of us actually ever saw his group. There were over 60 motorcycles and over 100 of the Patriot Guard. Here is the link to the article in our local paper. (the pictures for the paper were taken by one of my daughter's friends who graduated with her). http://www.thenewsstar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060709/NEWS01/60 7090338/1002 I took these photos at the funeral The family that lived across from the church was kind enough to offer their yard for everyone to park in Entrance to the church. There were 10 flag bearers who rotated out for the duration of the funeral services. That's my daughter in the dark blue shirt, facing me ((they were supposed to rotate out very 15 minutes, the heat was well into then 90s, but for some reason, she ended up standing there for almost 45 minutes). She did this to honor two friends who are currently serving in Iraq. Moving out. More pictures can be found in the Patriot Guard album on my photobucket. 'darlin

Huge lump in my throat here, so proud and so saddened at the same time. One because some brave young lad lost his life and two because some people want to dishonour his memory, his sacrifice and his family. Thank you Carolyn

I am so proud of you both!!! Whether the loonies show up or not attending the services and being part of this great group is an amazing experience! You will find me on the PGR boards as haywoodboss. I hope to make some of the Georgia missions as soon as some new health issues get resolved so maybe I will get to meet you at one. Maybe one of the Veteran Hospital visits. Congrats and Thanks, Tim

The rest of the pictures are loaded now. My daughter is also seriously thinking about going into the military (health permitting) after she gets her Masters' degree (so, I have at least two more years of her if I don't kill her first). Patriot riders following the last car into the cemetary And as of Auust 15, 2006, it will be against the law to protest at a military funeral in the state of Louisiana (one GOOD think Madame blanco has done). I am very proud of both of them, wife and daughter. Franklin Parish was the wrong place for the idiots to show up. It has to much history. Too many young men lost in each war. The main street/highway is named "The Vetrans Memorial Highway". In the middle of town is the largest American flag you will ever see. Each lighted power pole thruogh town has a flag. Each flag is kept in perfect condition. The moving Veitnam Vetrans Wall just came there earlier this year for the second time. A very close knit community, farmers, business, but all of any color are family! The way it is, the way it should be. JImbo

Very cool ! Thanks for participating and posting. That church in Kansas needs to pick a different platform for getting their message out (whatever it may be) and NOT do things at funerals !! I think it should be outlawed to protest at someone's funeral ! Geez ... what nerve !! I think I'd probably kick some a$$ if some jerks decided to stage a protest at one of my family members' funeral ! I would join the Patriot's if a protest were going to happen somwhere near here (In Indiana or Louisville, KY) . If I know about it, I'll be there ! UNsolved

| We would love to have you and many others join ! Right now there are 2 confirmed missions coming up in Indiana and Kansas gets it's share. It costs nothing to join and you don't even need a bike, I don't have one so I ride tail-gunner position. Check it out you won't regret it! http://www.patriotguard.org/Home/tabid/53/Default.aspx I am going to try to make one in Mo. that is coming up, would love to see you there!
