God probably has him shoveling coal on the Titanic. He ruined a bunch of my friends----and the sad thing is----he is one of a million of people who screw the normal people.

Deregulation was a friggin joke and I think it was done under a republican gov. We always do stuff like that, if there's a tax increase, we'll vote for it, at least the liberal majority does.

| About 10% to the people and 115% to the lawyers.

I really doubt the people will see a cent of it. The news media has been giving him more hell (for dying) than they have Bush today (and it's George's birthday). Hugs BD

| I betcha he found a damn good hiding place for all that money. No way he could spend it....they were on him like flies on sh*t. His wife'll never put her hands on it, cause that's too obvious. They have kids...not sure how many...that's too risky too. Kinda makes ya wonder....what will transpire. The former Enron folks will probably never see any of it. The lawyers have probably already been paid....sheesh, they probably helped him with safe placement. Jean

Cayman is always good... The feds can't get any info there (they make the Swiss look like blabber mouths). And all you need to get it out is a credit card - no paper trail. They don't exactly send statements. Wife will probably be set and there's nothing anyone can do about it. RIP Mr. Lay.... Hugs BD

'Course someone who's into conspiracy theories might conjecture that he isn't really dead--that Kenny-Boy (or someone close to him, say someone he went to college with) might have hired a body, so to speak. The timing's kinda convenient.... Best, George

From what I read and heard, Lay had about 9 million in assets, a condo in Houston and almost the same in debts. There is a several million dollar life insurance payout that by law, no one can touch. The family retains that. Lawsuits won't bring a dime. Charlie
