| I was diving off the coast of the Channel Islands one night and watched a launch from Vandenberg and what looked like a hit in Oct of 02. Coolest thing I've seen. We all thought the missile was a plane until the contrail was reflecting sunlight, then a blue green cloud appeard way above.

| Naw, the government was going to do that last month. But if you have google earth you can find area 51 pretty easily and just to the southwest of there, you can see hundreds of craters from tests. And just about a mile from the Condo I owned in Henderson there was a place that PepCon had to make rocket fuel. Google PepCon or Henderson explosion to see a friggin big blast. I had to sign a waiver before I closed on the condo saying I won't get mad if my kids start growing arms out their backs.

If you Google PepCon please don't look for the owners name and I won't tell you my last name. Number 1 - yes, we should attempt to shoot down any missle that N. Korea launches, if we really have that capability. I'm not so sure that we have had any really successful tests doing this, but if it worked, it sure would be a nice deterrant. But, if it doesn't work, we will look like we cannot defend our country. So do we, or don't we? Number 2 - copying from one of Jonny's links: ""The army and people of the DPRK are now in full preparedness to answer a pre-emptive attack with a relentless annihilating strike and a nuclear war with a mighty nuclear deterrent," the report said."" How is it that if N. Korea launches a missle, even if it's just a "test" missle, aimed at the US, and we shoot it down, that WE have launched a "pre-emptive strike" ? Just for thoughts.

That StarWars thing doesnt really exist, does it? I remember Regan tried to get that going, feasibility seemed to be an issue, then I thought the whole project was dead by like 1990 or 1995. B$

No need to take a vote...it's gonna happen one of these days. You guys ever heard of PNAC (Project For A New American Century)? It is a neo-conservative think tank established in 1997. The brain child / creator of this "think tank" was none other than Ole Dick Cheney. Here are some other names you might recognize that were part of this "think tank"...Paul Wolfowitz, Jeb Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, I. Lewis Libby among others that are now high ranking administration officials. They released their official document in 2000 called "Rebuilding Americas Defenses". That document openly -proposes military and economic, space, cyberspace, and global domination by the United States, so as to establish — or maintain — American dominance in world affairs (Pax Americana)-. It's funny, in that document Rumsfeld writes... "Our stated goals will never be realized absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event –like a new Pearl Harbor”. Shortly after that document was released and Rumsfeld was appointed SOD, 9/11 happened. You all should read that document found here... http://www.newamericancentury.org/ http://www.newamericancentury.org/publicationsreports.htm This document is something every Patriotic American should read...then read again! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_for_the_New_American_Century Remember, the people that created PNAC and released this .PDF are the same people who now run our country. This is not what -I think- they want to do... These are their stated goals! Americans are so use to hearing "Conspiracy Theory" that I'm not sure they understand when they are confronted with conspiracy fact. My point...N.Korea is already marked with a big ole X. I vote that we take out N.Korea today (JULY 4TH)...a few 1000MT Thero Nukes would make for one hell of a fireworks show!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BEAUTIFUL AND BELOVED AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well...I actually never saw the EKV before, but I have heard of THAAD for many years. I believe they said the tests results were 5 out of 10 successful intercepts (I could be wrong though). That's not too good http://www.army-technology.com/projects/thaad/ UNsolved PS. Land for sale in North Korea. Any bidders ??

| A military action thats needed and we are negotiating whats up with that? Give them more rice to feed their army? I generally dont agree with the kill em all ideas but in this case and should a missile launch occur. Unsolved wrote; "If we did 'strike and destroy' their missle and they did try to shoot any missle at the US (escpecially a nuclear missle) ... the US should annihilate their whole friggin country within minutes !!!" Either we do the above or begin smuggling in junk foods and stupid movies to the people of N. Korea to break the barriers while facing death and torture. They have one of the best trained super armies in the world. Led by Dear leader, Supreme commander of the Korean Peoples army etc.. A complete pshyco, organizational genius and god to his people. Worse yet the whole country is in the army. Even worse still it is a complete and totally brainwashed army. I couldnt imagine millions of soldiers spilling out across the world like an army of fire ants. The masses believe that only they have superior technology and are invincible. They absolutely need containment. The missiles are big but if the DPRK chose to march thats major. Ever tried to eradicate a mound of fire ants, its been said they have lived well through nuclear fallout. We think religous extremists are bad. I can say that you aint seen nuthin yet. Another note, the missile defense system is pretty good for NK at least and though the exothingy only works 55% of the time we have more than one way to kill a missile.

Sure. Let's bomb North Korea. They will attack South Korea and destroy half the country, and then we can retaliate and destroy the other half. That would be a brilliant final solution to the Korean problem. How many of the 37,000 American troops stationed in South Korea are worth sacrificing for this pre-emptive war? Y'all feeling 'patriotic' enough to create 20,000 more American martyrs? Bin Laden only gave us 3,000.
