Nice! I'm afraid practicality keeps me from purchasing both the Viper and Corvette I desire. Until such time as I can rationalize such a car, I make do with a mundane Dodge truck...... Bill

Now this is a car, 1977 original Porsche 930 Turbo. I got this car about six years ago and completely restored it, the car was beautiful inside and out. The sad news is at 190K miles on it the engine started to smoke and after having several mechanics look at it, it was decided that it needed to be rebuilt. Anyone want to take a guess on what it costs to rebuild an old turbo Porsche? From 15k too 18k, they say it can cost as little as 10k but these old turbo’s have a bad habit of braking parts when you pull them apart so the estimate has a large swing. As much as I loved that car and the fact that it was my dream car since the 7th grade, I had to let it go, I could just not justify spending that much money on it and I am far from financially flush enough to take that kind of hit on my car. The good news is I was able to sell the car for 19.5k even needing a rebuild, you guys in the UK may see it running around, the guy who baught it said he was sending it back home in England. Dam I miss that car, it was my therapy, no matter how bad I felt, a quick spin and I would feel much better.

Nice rides Trust me, I know about spending money on a car, it becomes an addiction. I am already in the 2k range in modifications and little "extras". I think for now I am done with the big stuff, just going to keep her nice and maintained for the next year or so. I definitely have my eyes on a 04 GTO, preferrably the LS1 - better gas mileage, better on insurance and you can pick one up for around 20k with low miles. Nice Porche! Maintaining/installing forced induction can definitely become expensive. A few fellow Eclipse owners have turboed their cars, and they get up into the $10k range when all is said and done. To me it is not worth it to spend that much $$ on a car that in the end will only do 14's in the 1/4 mile on a dragstrip. I'd rather start with something forced induction out of the box and add extras, etc. BTW - if anyone was confused about the Eclipse comment, my Stratus R/T is the exact same engine/transmission/interior, etc. as a 3rd generation Eclipse, only real difference is cosmetics and mine is on the Galant platform (15.5 inches longer). My modifications are : Eibach Pro Kit Springs KYB GR-2 shocks/struts Suspension Techniques rear sway bar Deyeme Racing poly motor mounts AEM Cold Air intake ADR Sokudo 17" wheels wrapped in Federal SS595 245/25/17 tires R1 Concepts drilled/slotted rotors The rest is just exterior/interior stuff, to give some character.

I'm not much of a photographer so I can't post a pic of my silver 2005 Nissan 350z. It has 6 speed manual transmission, 287 HP, and is fast as hell! I haven't done many mods at all, other than HID headlights and replaced the stereo (put in a head unit, 6 1/2 component speakers in the front, 6 1/2 sp in the back, 10 in sub in a custom box mounted under the strut bar in the trunk, and an amp behind the driver's seat). It's really fun to drive. With the new baby in the house, I'm hoping I can keep it. It's a two seater, and does not have an on-off switch for the passenger side airbag, so I can't put the car seat there. So far I haven't had to, but if/when the time comes I may have to part with it

| Very nice ride! I looked into one for my next car. Just like the GTO I am thinking about getting, you can get a 04-05 350z for around 20k with fairly low miles.....BUT.....my insurance would skyrocket if I got one. The GTO, on the other hand, would make my premiums decrease! Go figure.......

As far as I'm concerned anything that gets ya there is good!!!! Cute little thing, huh? It has been fun. We even did the headliner (several hours but not as much cussing as the internet instructions mentioned...lol.) You a Ford guy at heart. Cathi04 is all about Chevrolet.....and she should stop by the house so we can do a car comparison

I own a 97' Pontiac Bonneville SSEI. It's enough power for me . Hubby is still looking to purchase a 98' Trans-Am to replace the 84' he sold a month ago. It'll be nice to own, as it has the T-Tops like our old one, and A/C (which I LOVE). His youngest brother bought the old one, so we still see it around.

I have a hot rod with no motor. Six months ago I put some parts in the dishwasher for a good cleaning. They're still in there. Wife hasn't even noticed yet. The only reason we have a kitchen is because it came with the house.

Sweet beamer All nice cars and trucks. I was going to get an Acura TL but ended up getting a silver Honda Pilot. I am getting way too practical these days. But at my height, I really needed something roomy for once in my life. I am glad I did though, I love it. (stock photo but same as mine)
